Devon Young, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Devon Young is our newest addition. She is a native of Vernon, Connecticut and currently resides in northern Rhode Island. She graduated from Rockville High school and the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts. Dr. Young continues to explore both sides of her nature with a bachelors in Music from Ithaca College and a Pathobiology and Veterinary Science degree from the University of Connecticut. She had worked at Bolton Veterinary Hospital in Bolton CT as a certified technician while pursuing her undergraduate work which includes a publication in fish medicine. Dr. Young graduated Cornell University in 2012 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and then interned at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists. She then joined OSVS and their sister hospital Bay State Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Services as an Emergency Doctor. Dr. Young has special interests in Urgent and Emergency Care, and Internal Medicine as well as exotics.
She does have a personal life. It has many parts that she shares with a husband and joyful toddler and baby boy. In addition, Dr Young cohabitates with her cat Boo. And when she is free, she is an avid runner who also enjoys hiking, exploring national parks and monuments, finding great wineries, breweries, and coffee shops, as well as serenading her coworkers with Broadway songs, dancing in the hallways or on her stool, and knitting. Yes, knitting.
